Romy Fursland – French and German

Romy Fursland is a freelance literary translator from French and German into English. She holds an MA in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia and an undergraduate degree in French and German from the University of Oxford. She has translated two young adult novels by the award-winning German author Mechthild Gläser and one by popular author Kerstin Gier. Fursland also retranslated the cult modern classic, The New Sorrows of Young W., by Ulrich Plenzdorf, often taught in German schools. [dj]
