Alongside Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and Booklist, Kirkus is an influential publisher of pre-publication book reviews and is known for its “no holds barred” reviewing policy – notably, the reviews are unsigned. Young Readers’ Editor Laura Simeon was a member of the inaugural 2019 Global Literature in Libraries Initiative (GLLI) Translated YA Book Prize committee. [dj]
