Good Storytelling Still Trending: An Interview with Antonia Lloyd-Jones

Antonia Lloyd-Jones – Polish

Antonia Lloyd-Jones is best known as the translator of Nobel Prize-winning author Olga Tokarczuk, including her picture book, The Lost Soul. She has translated works by leading Polish novelists and journalists, as well as crime fiction, poetry and children’s literature. In 2018 she won the Transatlantyk Award for the most outstanding promoter of Polish literature abroad. “Nobody has done more for Polish literature in this field,” said Stanley Bill, founder and editor-at-large of Notes from Poland at the awards ceremony. “She is simply an entire, one-person embassy of Polish culture in English-speaking countries.” [dj]
