Edward Gauvin has translated in various fields from film to fiction, with a personal focus on contemporary comics and speculative fiction. His prizewinning work has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, and World Literature Today, and received fellowships from the Guggenheim and Fulbright foundations, as well as the NEA. His translations of Zeina Abirached’s A Game for Swallows and Nie Jun’s My Beijing, both with Lerner Graphic Universe, received the ALA’s Batchelder Honor and Award, respectively.
