Helen Wang is a UK-based translator, editor and promoter of Chinese works, known for her translations of Cao Wenxuan’s novels Bronze and Sunflower, Dragonfly Eyes, and The Grass House. In 2017 she won the UK’s Marsh Award for Children’s Literature in Translation for bringing Cao Wenxuan’s novel Bronze and Sunflower into English and China’s Chen Bochui Special Contribution Award for increasing the visibility of Chinese children’s literature. In 2016 she co-founded the website Chinese Books for Young Readers with Minjie Chen (Cotsen Children’s Library, Princeton) and Anna Gustafsson Chen (independent translator, Sweden). [dj]
