Rutgers International Youth Literature Libguide

The Libguide is both an introduction to and catalog of the International Youth Literature Collection (IYLC) of the Alexander Library at the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. A highlight is the set of recorded readings of children’s stories from around the world from the Celebration of International Children’s Books held annually at the library on or near April 2 since 2020. The readings feature many languages including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Ukrainian with more added each year. The IYLC numbers over 1,000 books and growing, including both books in original languages and in translation. [ma]
